Good game for the Eagles. It wasn't their best game of the season, but they stepped off the field with a W.
20-17.
Their Defense did a great job, holding Tomlinson to only 7 yards. They stopped him from scoring a touchdown in 18 strait
games. They only allowed 17 points to a team averaging close to 30. They did have a little trouble late in the game with Drew
Brees. With under 2 minutes left in the game Sheldon Brown forced a fumble inside the Eagles own 20 yard-line, and the Eagles
recovered.
Special teams wasn't the greatest all game, but came up with the play of the game. With less than 3 minutes left in the
game, San Diego leading by 4, and they block the field goal and Matt Ware returns it for a touchdown.
Offense was less than exeptional. They scored only 13 points, although Donovan Mcnabb threw for over 30 completions. They
passed of 75% of the time. It is very hard to win football games when the opposing defense knows your going to pass it almost
all the time. No team with that imbalanced of an offense has ever won a Superbowl.
Bottom Line- The Philadelphia Eagles are now 4-2 and need a big win against the Broncos this Sunday. They
are the underdogs, but I have a strong feeling the Eagles are going to have a huge game. The Eagles should improve to 5-2
and their remaining schedule is not all that difficult. The Eagles should win the NFC East, and probably go on to the
superbowl. The only thing that will stop them is if their offense continues to be inconsistant, one dementional, and struggle
in big games. If they can establish a run game early, the Philadelpia Eagles are the best team in the NFL. Period.
